The Chicago Experience is just as it sounds - a group of musicians who call Chicago home, and who share a love for the music of one of the greatest rock n' roll bands of all time…

Together, the band recreates the sound and feel of Chicago's music, who's hit songs have touched generations of fans spanning several decades. The Chicago Experience invites you to relive memories of the music that captured everyone’s hearts - from the early hits off Chicago Transit Authority’s 1968 self-titled album, such as “Beginnings” and “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?", through the 1980’s, with Chicago’s hits “Hard To Say I’m Sorry” and “You’re The Inspiration", you will share in the joy these songs bring.

The Chicago Experience highlights include performances with:  Danny Seraphine - Chicago’s co-founder and original drummer,  Bill Champlin -  former Chicago member, Will Champlin -  "The Voice" finalist, Dennis Tufano - original leadsinger of The Buckinghams, Marty Grebb, Carl Giammarese, Nick Fortuna - The Buckinghams, James Guercio - Chicago’s original manager and producer.

Meet the Band

Brian Hemstock loves singing all the Cetera vocals for The Chicago Experience, but before that he toured the world as the male vocalist for The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra.  Touring the United States, Canada, and even Japan, Brian worked with the famous big band for almost three years.  Born and raised in Wisconsin, his mother, a music teacher, got Brian interested in music at an early age.  After high school, Brian attended Western Michigan University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies with an emphasis in Voice.  You can find Brian around Chicagoland performing with TCE, local big bands, and many other jobbing groups.

As a child, Adam was enamored by artists such as Prince, Queen and Michael Jackson, which quickly lured him into the exciting world of music.  At age fourteen Adam bought a broke down drum set and a used guitar from a yard sale and set out to make a splash in the local rock scene.  Throughout high school Adam performed in many garage bands and performed at local festivals while trying to find himself musically.  Finally, while attending Colombia College, Adam entered the Chicago club/bar scene as a vocalist/guitarist and never looked back.  Over the past 15 years Adam has become a staple of the Chicago rock scene by fronting numerous successful rock and cover bands while opening for such acts as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sister Sledge and The Sin City Sinners.

With early influences from Terry Kath and school jazz band, Ron couldn't be happier filling the Guitar/ Lamm Vocal/ Musical Director roles.  With a career spanning over thirty years playing nationally as well as locally, it is with The Chicago Experience that Ron is extremely grateful for an opportunity to perform the music he is passionate about to this day.

Born and raised in the western suburbs, Chicago has always been Tim’s home town.  Tim began his musical endeavors on the trumpet as a child and has remained a fan of horn music from his early days and first exposure to bands like Chicago, Tower of Power and Earth Wind and Fire. After playing both lead and bass guitar for many years, Tim began to study the bass guitar as a main instrument after exposure to players like Alphonso Johnson, Marcus Miller and Jaco Pastorius in the early 1980’s.  Tim has played bass and sang professionally for well over two decades including a run with the Chicago-area band The Cryan’ Shames from 1986-2002 and has shared the stage with artists such as  Graham Nash, The Turtles, The Coasters, The Drifters, The Temptations, Edgar Winter to name a few.

Hailing from Bolingbrook, Illinois, the keyboards and second guitar are powered by Paul Wood. Paul has played for many successful Rock acts including The Drifters, The Coasters, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, The Chicago Bear Band, Scramble, The Shadows of Knight, and Chicago’s own Cryan’ Shames. He also has written music for, directed scores for and engineered recording sessions for orchestras and industrial shows across the country, including rock shows, society orchestras, and symphonies. Currently, Paul is Assistant Director of Music and Worship at Good Shepherd Church in Naperville, Il.

The Chicago Experience gives Steve the opportunity to come full circle, and perform the music that has had a significant impact on him. Among many trumpet players, Lee Loughnane was one of his earliest influences. Steve is a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS).

Trombonist Terry Viano spent 20 years performing in the United States Air Force Band, including the world famous “Falconaires” Jazz Ensemble. The Chicago Experience will be returning to Burr Ridge’s Concerts on the Green for 2016 for their third appearance! Never in the 7 year history of these concerts, have so many people applauded, standing ovation, and on and on for a concert performance like they did for The Chicago Experience. Sitting with me at the concert was a frequent concert goer gentlemen and fan of the original Chicago band who stated “if I wasn’t witnessing this, I would swear it was Chicago!” Kudos to Steve and Ron for a concert to remember.

Incredible ... a MUST SEE act if you get the chance this summer. (We posted a link to their itinerary on yesterday's page ... scroll back to see where these guys are playing this summer ... we'll probably see you at one of their shows!) They have TOTALLY nailed the Chicago sound ... killer lead vocals by Brian Hemstock and Adam Briel ... scorching guitar by Ron Brandt ... and a horn section that rivals Chicago's very own. How great were they? The night of this performance I turned to my wife and said "I have NEVER seen Chicago perform "Dialogue" as well as these guys just did here tonight." And I mean that ... and I've seen Chicago live at least a dozen times. Absolutely amazing.

I would like to thank you for an outstanding performance of The Chicago Experience for one of our recent corporate events. I was very proud to present your wonderful Chicago tribute band to a very knowledgeable client, who has been in our industry over the years. Everyone was thoroughly entertained, and they so appreciated the authentic presentation of everyone's classic hits from this legendary band. The arrangements are perfect, and all the vocalists sound so much like the original members, that it really feels like you are watching the actual band "Chicago"

Best regards,

"The Chicago Experience band members throw themselves heart and soul into performing Chicago's music true to the original. Every voice, every instrument, every nuance is just right. I have heard them perform in a variety of places, and each time the audience is pulled back to the first time they heard, and fell in love with, Chicago's music. Most recently, the Chicago Experience headlined The Spot Studio's summer music festival. We heard comments from everyone who attended that the show was amazing and they could not believe how fantastic the band sounded. If you have a chance to be part of the Chicago Experience you will not want to miss it!"--John Huber, Owner, The Spot Studio (www.thespotstudio.com)
